I love this album and the entire story of how it came to be. I remember picking this up in a dusty record store back in the earlier 2000s and was completely blown away. I'm more of a metal guy now, but this album was pretty badass at the time of discovery. I was hoping to see this one in here. Basically any Pixies album could be their best album depending on your taste. Like some weird wordy songs with Spanish singing at a manic pace with a dirty indie feel? Come on Pilgrim it is. Wanna get your face blasted off by an album that will make you feel like you're listening to a garage punk bands mental breakdown recorded on the basement floor of an abandoned asylum? Surfer Rosa motherfuckers. Do you like alternative? Cool well Doolittle is literally Alternative music genre defined before it became synonymous with crap. Did someone say experimental surf rock, that feels like riding a wave made of lasers? Oh hey what's up Bossanova. And finally did your time machine breakdown when you were visiting the distance past of the year 2100? Good news you'll feel right at home listening to Trompe Le Monde. For the record my favorite is Surfer Rosa with Come on Pilgrim as a close second.

During World War II, the  Awesome Merry Quarantine Christmas 2020 Shirt  statistician Abraham Wald took survivorship bias into his calculations when considering how to minimize bomber losses to enemy fire. The Statistical Research Group (SRG) at Columbia University, which Wald was a part of, examined the damage done to aircraft that had returned from missions and recommended adding armor to the areas that showed the least damage, based on his reasoning. This contradicted the US military's conclusions that the most-hit areas of the plane needed additional armor. Wald noted that the military only considered the aircraft that had survived their missions; any bombers that had been shot down or otherwise lost had logically also been rendered unavailable for assessment.
