Of course, by the time I notice that it's the present, that moment has moved on, and I'm faced with a still-increasing instant of infinity that extends backwards. There are brief moments of clarity, but they're short-lived... or so they seem. Once, after exerting an incredible force of will, I actually timed the period between those points.
