The cops shot out the car's tires, dragged both the protestor and the driver out of the vehicle, hit them repeatedly with night sticks, and handcuffed/arrested them. Watched a solid minute of the lead up, and neither person appeared to do anything illegal, the driver didn't even seem to know the person who jumped through their window or expect to run into a police barricade. They were both just on Walnut around 52nd, in broad daylight, trying to get away from the advancing police line. There are also currently several major lawsuits from that day/night surrounding the use of tear gas that penetrated into personal residences of people who weren't involved with the protests at all. Police who didn't live in West Philly came in with the explicit goal of cracking down on protestors, and it felt like an invasion by any meaningful understanding of the term. I was wondering that myself. It looks like the cop in the middle went for the camera guy at the end.

Using their logic, does this mean  Perfect Do Not Revive Shirt  a Muslim or Jewish clerk should have the right to deny a Christian couple a marriage license because the clerk could view a Christian marriage as invalid and against their spiritual beliefs? Or if a Mormon gets a job in a liquor store and refuses to sell anything but mixers. Apparently that behavior should be protected because they’re just exercising their religious freedom? That attitude is in many ways the social norm in some of these suppressive and religious controlled countries. That outrage surfaced over that statement is surprising in itself if you think about it. What’s even more ridiculous is if you think about the statement literally.
